The human form is a classical motif in art, one which conveys both the grace and tragedy of life. As such, it is a conduit for both our notions of beauty and scorn, and a subject that I have tremendous respect for. Within this tradition, there is perhaps no subject more expressive than the human face. When combined with the formal potential of the body, the possibilities are limitless--yet profoundly intimate and familiar.
